The Great Basket Caper in Boulder Colorado

There’s a lot to love about baskets. Organization is my favorite reason. According to Wikipedia, baskets date back to 8000 BCE and are used for both utilitarian and decorative purposes. Basket making has come so far in modern times, with all different types, weaves, patterns, colors, textures and materials.

But let’s get to one of my favorite topics – how baskets can help you and your family become organized!

My specialty is kitchens, but baskets can be used everywhere in the home.

For the kitchen, I have found that plastic baskets are the easiest for keeping clean. I love the colored baskets to put things such as cleaning supplies under the sink, vitamins in cabinets, tea baskets, children’s snacks, baby supplies, your “junk,” and so many other things.

Your challenge for your kitchen: find or buy 3 baskets (you may already own them) and figure out how to make your space a little more tidy! If not, I can always help!
