Colette spent the first half of her life on the East Coast, growing up in New Hampshire and spending summers on the coast of Maine. The East holds a special place in her heart with its salty air, great friends and the strong work ethic which rubbed off on her at age 14.

Migrating to Boulder, Colorado in 1993, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Colorado. Once attained, she traded it in for her next goal: creating a residential cleaning company. Colette’s Cleaning Service kicked into high gear in 1998, teaching her the in’s and out’s of owning, organizing and managing a business with 13 employees through 2002.

That year she married one of her clients (a fun story in itself), and decided it was time to travel and see the world. She and her beloved released all their worldly possessions, setting off to the Caribbean with one way tickets, a tent and backpacks.

Their travels took them far and wide…

  • sailing down the Windward Caribbean Islands
  • studying at Kripalu, a yoga retreat center in western Massachusetts
  • consulting on the Big Island of Hawai’i
  • and exploring Alaska

…in what turned out to be almost a five year ADVENTURE!

One of the most important things learned: “I am not my possessions and my possessions are not me.”

She and her husband arrived back in Boulder in late 2005, and now enjoy the day-to-day life of their sweet, little home. The small size of their house constantly reminds them to release items which no longer serve, allowing them to feel spacious, uncluttered and peaceful.

Living in small spaces, carrying everything she owned in a pack and learning the deep lessons of attachment gives Colette a unique perspective to support her clients discovery of what’s truly important to them.
